Last week I completed Levi's holiday window at Industrie Denim in San Francisco. My work here consisted of building all of the oak furniture as well as creating an actual brick wall for the display.

- Creating furniture and sculpture has been a path of experimentation with ceramic, metal, and finally wood, my medium of choice. I have studied and worked with a diverse number of artists, sculptors, and furniture builders in the Bay Area, New York, and Buenos Aires. After receiving a B.A. in United States History from UC Santa Cruz, I began my formal art education at City College of San Francisco, where I studied ceramic sculpture under Oliveria Quesada. I then continued as a full time art student at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, where I became connected with and worked for New York metal sculptors Joel Perlman and John Clement. After six months of travel, work, and inspiration in South America, I returned to San Francisco in April of 2006 and began a series of apprenticeships with local woodworkers. The most prominent of these was Michael Bock, an award-winning furniture designer that taught me the fundamentals of woodworking, and set me on the path of becoming a furniture maker. I currently work out of my studio in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.
